My Jazz Story
Tell Your Jazz Story. How did you come to know old-style jazz? Did you have a relative or friend who toured with a band in the Swing Era? Are you the descendant of a musician or songwriter? Do you have fond memories of "clubbing" at Eddie Condon's in New York or The Dawn Club in San Francisco? Or, do you currently enjoy playing old-style jazz for enjoyment and recreation?"

The Band
Got a question for the Band? Want to find out why The Jim Cullum Jazz Band is devoted to older styles of jazz? Or what kind of instruments they play? Or what they do when they’re not on the bandstand? Here’s your chance.

Classic Jazz Newbie?
First, or maybe second time listening to the music, and have a question? Just ask JCJB bassist Don Mopsick.

Do you play an instrument?
Ask the Band questions on how to get a sound, find a groove, and get hot! Also, how to put together a band or find a jam session.

Books
Got your nose in a good book? The publishing world is noticing Classic Jazz — there are new books on subjects like David Gelly’s biography "Prez" from Oxford University Press, "Tram" by Evans and Kiner from Rutgers, and Stephen Bourne’s biography of Ethel Waters, "Stormy Weather."
Any of these tomes on your reading list? If so, tell us what you think? If not, tell us what you are reading.
